Best wishes for your friend's recovery Carl!

I think I may have to take the afternoon off. Storm last night made a mess of my driveway. Again. Sigh. Ever since we lost the big oak the runoff pattern has changed and the driveway takes a hit. Not to mention that we've had a HECK of a lot of rain this summer so the ground is saturated.

1:35am and I'm at the hospital with my mom. Nothing major I hope just a little feverish. Waiting on blood work. Yawn.

I'm a demon on a normal keyboard. It's these mobile thingies that drive me batty.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes for my mom. Must be working! She is *much* better today and probably going home tomorrow.

Morning all :hattip:. Glad to hear that your Mom might be going home today Dave .

As for typing on a regular keyboard I am always removing, deleting or backspacing to correct spelling issues. I have a real big case of fat thumbs on the cell phone texting or even sending an e-mail . But hey, after all, I have an excuse(at least that's what I tell the
Grand Kids) and that being "I'm an old fart and can't keep up with technology":D.

    Morning all: :hattip:

Opened the door at around 10:30am yesterday and saw two black bear going through the opening in the woods just off the yard, NBD as long as they aren't tearing everything apart.

Guess we are all seeing what's going on in Texas with the storm, unbelievable how much rain they are getting. :(

Hi Carl, bear are probably looking for a garbage can buffet :D. They have gotten so used to foraging in the garbage that they find it easy pickings in residential areas. Unfortunately they are never around during bear season:facepalm:. Harvey is playing hell with Houston(another Katrina like in New Orleans) and now it has regrouped and is heading ashore in Alabama:eek:. We might feel some of the after effects towards the end of the week but nothing like they have.

Hi Dave, how is your Mom doing?

Mom is back home and recovering quickly. Which is good because my dad is not at his peak just now. She needs to step up a bit and help him out. From what I can tell she is doing so which is very encouraging.

Thanks again Ken and everyone for the thoughts, prayers and wishes sent her way. Please send them to Houston now! those folks are going to need all they can get.

Glad all is good with Mom Dave. Been sending to Houston and surrounding areas. It's going to be a tough long haul for the folks down there.
