Ok first off, anything with the word Cannon in the name get's my vote and attention! So any soap? I generally use Turtle brand car wash, or McGuires. I am gonna have to look this stuff up. I have terrible hard water spots if I don't keep the entire vehicle wet util I am done, then I have to towel dry it, and even then I get them......really bad on glass.

    Thanks!

Do you wash your car in the sun? That'll happen to me if I do. I'll have to constantly spray the rest of the car to keep it wet. Now I just wash it in the shade.

This is the best soap ever: http://adamspolishes.com/shop/exterior/carwashing/adam-s-new-car-wash-shampoo-16oz.html

Mequiars is alright, but take anything turtle wax brand that you have and throw it away. I hate that shit.

Well, I try to wait until the sun is behind the trees but it's not always possible.....Just my well water is so damn hard. Waxing get's rid of the spots but phhhhtt, who has time for that crap!? When I was younger, people used to make fun of me.....saying I was gonna wash the paint of my vehicles. Like every week, religiously. Now I am lucky if I wash them a dozen times a year. LOL, as a matter of fact I peeled some dried up, huge flying insect out of the scoop louvers they other day with my pocket knife. Maybe a cicada.....Now, I have been drying my Ray 10's after these rains just to keep the brake dust dirt puddles from drying on my Brushed Coppers....I need to get a coat of wax on those too. I guess I am finally getting lazy in my old age guys....directing my energy to other things I guess.

Ha! Can't blame you there. If you decide you really want those spots gone, use a clay bar. It'll get them right off. Just may require a heavy duty one.

LOL, I like Turtle Wax brand, that stuff is older than me! I actually use it because it is cheap and has the wax built in, but mainly on the truck....it only works though if you dry it afterward. I think I am gonna try this Adams.....I can get a gallon on Amazon for 40 bucks. They have the 16 oz for 10 bucks too. Reviews are fair to mid, I guess people either love it or don't like it. Not so much in between....

A HUNDRED BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy crap on a cracker!!!!!! It better wash the inside and outside for 100 bucks!!!!! And do it while I watch!!!!!!

The other one aint so bad. I like the pressure washer model though. I have a pressure washer. Although, I see in the specs on that one that it says 2.0 gpm and 200 psi. I wonder if it would work with a 1800 psi and 1.4 gpm version. I have a Green Works electric. My Honda gas blows through my well too fast. That is 2400 psi and 2.4 gpm. I like the convenience of the electric.

Oh, so do you just spray it on and then hose it off? Or can you also hand wash once you get it all foamy? I'm a hands on old school dude. Plus even my pressure washer can't get the bugs off. Well, I should say the guts. Those I have to scrub a couple times. With a wash mitt, not a brush LOL, I am not that backwards. I am OCD though so I do have a backup wash mitt in case I drop mine. If it or my drying towel touch the ground I have a backup...too much chance for grit to get introduced.

But I am intrigued by a cannon to get the soap to pre-treat to make hand washing more effective, or not needed at all.

Thanks for the links. I have the soap and cannon in my cart.

HAHAHAHAHA Funny, I have this at home! I used to use it on my Harley! Bought it at Bike Week one year. It works really good when there's no water around in a pinch. I would not use it on bugs or heavy dirt though.

so, my question is, do you go and hit the truck with some sort of rag/sponge/scrubbing device after the foam cannon, or it it just hit it with that, let sit for a minute and then rinse?

I usually charge $150 for a one day detail for reference.

The foam cannon is kind of like the soapy water at the DIY car washes. But beter. You are supposed to wet the vehicle, foam it, then mop it by hand, then rinse. But i use it when the vehicle is really bad as a prewash. I wet, foam, rinse very throughly, then do my normal hand wash.

The foam cannon i linked will work on any pressure washer with interchangable fittings. Its very low pressure, 200psi seems about right. No, it won't remove the bugs, it'll just help lift the dirt to make hand washing easier

Ok, I remember the guy at bike week showing how you didn't need to use water, and just this stuff. I thought it was more of a detailing spray too and that's how I used it primarily. I could never bring myself to use it how they intended.

$150 better come with a manny/pedi and you might want to bring your dremel for that!

Ok cool, this sounds right up my alley. I like the idea of a pre soak for sure. I am old and need all the help I can get. Plus, it just looks cool as hell! I can see me now getting into trouble with that thing. I wonder if it works on vinyl siding? My deck! The dog, wait, I don't have a dog. Now I need a dog! My tractor!!!!!!!!!! That thing is always a mess. Cleanliness is next to Godliness you know.

cool. also, here are your rust pics. not nearly as bad as a lot of people, but theres more than id like and a lot of sections are delaminating. these are the worst spots. sorry for the potato pics, i crawled under my truck in the rain just for you. i didnt grab the trailer hitch, but its got a shit ton of layers peeling off of it. im actually suprised it hasnt failed considering the loads i put on it.
