in some construction that a crawl space or basement isn't feasible, and the house floor plan is such that there isn't space anywhere else, yeah, its common, and a pain in the ass.
when we were looking at houses this was one thing i was watching for, i had a fried who had major damage because one let loose while they were out of town.

Mine is in the crawl space, still not ideal, but if its gonna leak, at least its under everything of concern for the most part.

FYI, if you have an expansion tank on the system, replace that at the same time, same age as the water tank generally, and having to go back under the house on a Sunday after i had just showered to spend the day with family really sucked....9 months after i had replaced the water heater.

I'm exhausted. I did that job in about 6 hrs. Had a guy stop by and help get old one down, but that was it. I jammed. I didn't want to stay late. So now it's relocated in garage . Up and down attic ladder, step ladder and truck.
Got my adjustable, vibration bed on kicked back like a monster recliner

after looking at this closer, you plan on selling anytime soon ?

It may fail inspection due to water service so close to power center.

not trying to be a pain, just something that may become an issue

Usually go through there @ 70 mph :D

    :woot: best of luck Mike

You've got that right. You have to hit El Paso @ the right time to avoid some of the nuttiness :annoyed: :angrygirl:

Only good thing about part of texas is the 80 mph speed limit :burnrubber:

Be glad that's all he did. Nephew took out a telephone pole about 4 am while potentially drunk or at least buzzed  mommy and daddy won't let him stand on his own two feet

    Sorry Andy

Parents never quit worrying!!! @least the good ones!!!

Thank you for your sacrifice :hattip:

    When's the next dr appt?

:smack: well quit being a grouchy butt head or talk to her!!!! :D

    evening boys

Looks to be a horizontal milling machine which is the way they were made before the Bridgeport style came about. Have any side views and is it for sale ?As a bench top style they are not found that often at least in that size . Be worth a rehab and put to use for small custom jobs .

Old was 3 core brass. Started leaking near my external trans cooler which at first I thought was leaking.

A guy I know is running the same aluminum I am getting in a nova with a 383 with no issues.
Got everything disconnected. All I have to do is lift old one out, clean up the mess, and install new. Hopefully i'll have time this weekend.

That's the only pic I have. My neighbor runs an auction and posted that pic on Facebook.
