They may keep an eye on things like that but on the off chance they don't, it doesn't hurt to make a note of it.
They've had my truck since 8-4-17 and the parts ordered 8-7-17. Still no frame...
So, with that said, it won't be a quick job.

Hopefully they are in. based on looking at what all has to come off id say its probably gonna take them full week or a little more to actually get the frame swapped, and theres the chance of stuff not coming off like its supposed to or being broken already.

They had my truck since 7/23/17 and say it's approved . Also tell me they can't order parts yet . I called Toyota direct and they told me they don't have parts yet . I called a couple of times last week and spoke to customer relations for the dealership too! They say they are not ready to ship parts ... not sure what to believe . My trucks been out of commission since May

not to be rude but just be glad they failed yours and its going to get fixed eventually. my frame is a rust bucket and now i just have to hope this winter eats the crap out of my frame or else they are going to take off all the rust and put some gunk on it and help buy it time so they dont have to deal with it in 2 years when its completely rusted out and they wont do anything about it. mine was checked monday....they didnt fail it.

Sorry to hear that! That was my situation 2 years ago. They sprayed the frame and it more or less dripped off . Hopefully your frame rusts through soon. That's not right considering your frame has a lot of rust from the inside out . Mine had holes back in April and month later the upper control arm rotted off the frame !

My dealership has been giving us the run around for over 6 months. Now they say my 2005 Tacoma is not part of this because I bought it on 4/2005. They refuse to even look at it. Could this be accurate?

You need to call 1800-331-4331. Explain your situation. They may be able to help. This is the # to Toyota Customer Experience Center.
1888-270-9371 is another # for the same folks. You've exceeded the 12 years from first use clause but you should still be okay since it hasn't been a year since final order/judgement.
Get with Corporate by the numbers provided. Don't rely on your Dealer...
Customer Service will give you a case number and it will be documented.
    DONT WAIT.

Huge thank you RustyTaco for this document. I contacted my local dealer today via their online chat feature (after reading through this doc), and I think using some of the terminology in the letter actually worked to my benefit a little bit, as I never mentioned a "recall", for fear of them weeding out the ill-informed customers referencing a "recall" to scam them into coming into the stealership just to find some phantom issue(s). I told them that I contacted Corporate, as well as the Attorneys on the case, and both confirmed eligibility, so it was more of a test to see if they would concur... and they did!

Next up - appointment next Wednesday for frame inspection, and the Chat associate even mentioned "we'll inspect and order the parts necessary", so maybe I got lucky and my dealer is ready to go with these....we'll see.

I purchased and drove the truck in NJ/NY for 5 years, and it was always a northeastern region truck, so its definitely rusty down there, but now that I know I'm getting an inspection, I'm going to take a much closer look to see if I can find some concerning areas. I now live in NC, so not in the rust belt, but there's definitely still lots of scale down there, and my concrete driveway is rust orange in the spots where water drips off of it after driving in rain, so if nothing else, a frame treatment would be in line at the very least. At 162k+, a clutch replacement at 130,000, and most importantly... PAID OFF, this might be the break I've been waiting for!

I may take some pics of the frame once I get under there this week. If not, next update on this next Wednesday :)
