    I'll be at Silverlake tomorrow, since I can't been there Saturday. Anyway, we camped at McCarthy Lake last night and got properly eaten by skeeters all night. Had a good time though. Only saw one other group across the lake via campfire.

    I picked up a Thermacell lantern just before we went to the UP. It may not have gotten rid of them all every night but it seemed to do a good job between it and some Off!. The UP skeeters are pro level too.

    BTW, seeing your use of traction mats just gave me a good excuse to get a set. My wife is fussy about having the RTT level.

    Hey thanks for the tip! I'm always getting chewed up while my wife generally remains bite free (save for the spider bite square in the middle of her forehead one night in Pennsylvania). Michigan bugs are no joke. As several people have said to me, there's nothing here in Michigan that can kill you ('cept humans) but plenty of shit to bug you!

    I gotta say, the Maxtrax are lifesavers. I have 4, and in that photo I have one on the front and 3 on the rear. I probably could have done with just one or two on the rear and left the front alone, but I was working out some other issues. I used the Maxtrax twice this week to help out stuck guys at Silverlake.

    I have 33" KO2 tires.... so 285 75r16. Preferably I would like to keep them with the truck. Find a friend to buy my truck then you guys can swap :D

    The night run was awesome last year....
    Not many prerunners were out for the 4th so It will be cool to see everyone out there...

    The wife and I will be in the area all weekend on the Sept 8-10th. We were going to stop by the dunes, and explore some of the two tracks in the area and camp. Would be great to meet up with everyone. Anyone know of any sweet campspots out that way? I just got back from out west btw. Here are some pics.
