If i didnt think i would die on a bike i would probably have one for commuting during the nice weather days. Still like those Indian Motorcycles.

Same reason could partially apply, if i rode a bicycle to my office i would still die..... the way people around here drive anyway.

Yep, my testys arnt big enough to gamble with the idiots around here. I was just talking today to a coworker who still was trying to come to grips after seeing a biker get plowed into the side rail when he was coming home this weekend. He saw the medics doing cpr and all that, found out later that he didn't make it.

I don't mind trails as they are a decent way off the street with many trees to help block you from epic crashes.

Being in Ashburn if i worked at the old AOL HQ i would bike to work, but i work in Herndon currently and will be working in Springfield again in a month or so. I do have to consider a commuter car at some point.

I'm pretty sure I saw a dude literally in the ditch one night when I was coming home really late earlier this year. It looked like a car tried making a left in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle t-boned the car between the passenger tire and front passenger door and superman'ed over the hood. A bunch of other cars were already stopped, so I rolled on home. The fire dept is a block or two from my house, and the ambulance took off lights/sirens blazing about 30 seconds after I pulled into my driveway.

Two of my friends back in NM have been in vehicle-bicycle accidents while riding their bicycle. Both of them the vehicle didn't see them and pulled out. One buddy went over the hood without any real injury. My other friend went face first into the side of pickup truck cab. He got f'ed up pretty good. Broke some bones in his face.

Ah, nice. Hopefully it serves you well.
I understand completely as i am about to do the same thing. I know ill miss the availability of the bed and convenience of hauling large objects or dirty objects. But i know i need to drop the truck, and i dont care for the third gen. I also dont care for the frontier, or the colorado. I dont really need a full size so my options were another second gen or go something different to shake things up a bit. I dont like buying used as in the past i have ended up with others problems, so the other second gen is out for me. Maybe when midsize trucks start looking a little better to me i can reconsider. If not i may get a full size later down the road.

I have video of me hitting the deer, he looks really small. But that's probably because ofthe new tires.
