My little putt-putt. Gonna get her back up in the mountains this weekend. Been thinking about painting these rims either gloss black or color-matched. I think the center caps would stand out more if the rims were lunar mist.

Do gunmetal, I think they'd look better. Silver wouldn't look as good IMO.

Those were my original choice for rims. I think it looks good as is, but if you were to paint, I would go with the medium charcoal metallic to give a little contrast

I have these wheels as well and painted them silver to match factory color as they were pretty rough when i got them. Now wanting to go to a gunmetal for contrast. Considering bronze as well

Gunmetal was on my list too. Might have to pick up a spare and experiment. I need one anyway.

I was skeptical between gunmetal and bronze and played it safe with gunmetal. Wished I could've gone bronze as nobody does silver and bronze. Still super happy tho

Yep, I remember your rig. You actually gave me some advice on the 4Runner 5 stars. Helped me decide on them. For my truck, I felt it was too much silver and needed some contrast. I didnt want to go too dark, just a little something to mix it up

I feel the same, its a 13 year old truck but the colors together just seem dated. Been putting off since painting is a bit of a pain

Lunar Mist is tough to work with when it comes to rim color. That's why so many people just go with black or dark grey. Same with Mystic Gold. All the other paint colors ('01-'04) look good with any of the usual rim colors (silver, black, gunmetal, charcoal, etc.) and even some of the non-traditional colors. For example, those copper RAY10s look great on everything except silver/gold metallic.

Probably for a reason. Those colors don't work well together. I don't know if it's the hue, tone, or what (not up on my color theory), but they're just not pleasing to the eye when next to each other. They're not complimentary.

I think you went the right way.

I've seen a few rigs that were silver and looked good with bronze but I played it safe haha. But it was a win win IMO

My favorite wheel as well- picked up a nasty set and redid them. I ended up spraying too many test panels until I got the color really flat. Going to purchase another set (can find these wheels easy and cheap) and try a darker gray.

I really want a set of those. I've seen a few come up on CL. I think $350-400 is a little high though. Saw a set for $200, but they needed more work than I was willing to put in. I'll get some eventually.

I paid $60 for the set on this truck (need a bunch of work), see sets for $100 often.

Got a set of smoked headlights and smoked clear corners coming in soon, plasti dipped the front in case I don't like how it looks. Window tint next and a wash.
