It's an '04 Kona Unit singlespeed, there's literally nothing left of the original bike except for the frame and I love it dearly. I'll never give this bike up.

I'm totally digging all these cool MTB's. Sadly, I have no skills for anything on the dirt. Maybe someday I'll give it a go even though I know I'd smash a few bones in the learning curve. Until then, I'll stick to the road.

Just picked up this Tacoma. I put a OEM rail across the front of the bed and used a Rock Mount. Seems solid.

Took these shots after our Tuesday Night World Championships :)

@gransport nice set up and nice Spec CF road bike, you are right about the dirt tough!
One thing is certain...you will go down, just depends on how hard!
When I've managed to get all scared-up I stay off the dirt til the scabs heel and I ride road, then I'll go get the scabs reopened...
    Oh well...chicks digs scars :)

Ha....you're right, chicks do dig scars!

I typically average a crash a year, do a lot of crit racing. Mostly it's just rash and not a biggie. I've had a few nasty ones over the years. Both my collar bones are plated. Broke a pelvis. Once I busted 4 ribs and it punctured a lung. Had to stay in the hospital for a bit with a chest tube. Biggest problem is I always buy manual transmissions, including this Tacoma. When I'm busted up, my wife has to trade me cars and I never hear the end of it.

I think you are doing road biking wrong if you break a pelvis :notsure:

Joking aside, that's a good looking bike!

Phil and Seth trying the rock roll on a tandem was fun to watch. Unreal-est of lines for sure!

Hey, we have 11K riding in California (note: natives don't say Cali). Of course, that's at the top of the mountain, after a scenic lift ride to the top :) Good thing about living @ sea level is that most local rides end with a downhill. Bad thing is that even 5K elevation kicks my ass. Gotta get back to Utah soon!

Hey, I live here and I hadn't seen that 3rd gen SCFD Taco yet. They have (had?) at least one 2nd gen and SC Parks has a couple of 3rd gens. Glad you enjoyed our trails!

Ha! When we got married, I had an AT Ranger and my wife had a stick shift Mazda pickup. A few months later we bought a VW Westfalia stick shift and agreed to sell one of the pickups. I convinced her that we should sell her truck in case one of us got injured riding and couldn't drive the stick. Well, that was almost 30 years ago and a few years ago I finally got to test that ... went OTB and broke my right collarbone ... learned that even shifting an AT from Park to Drive, let alone turning the steering wheel, is pretty hard left-handed (different vehicles, still one AT, mine, and one MT, hers). She never crashes.

I'm a native by birth and I call It Cali..Boom Lawyered! :ohsnap:

Born in Riverside, lived in Vacaville and Torrance as well. I got this state on lock.

I do regret not getting into biking till living in Utah though. I bought my bike literally the same weekend that I moved from CA to UT. Skied a few times, but did want to go ride Mammoth and Big Bear to say I did.
