The main difference would be the Locking Rear Axle and A-TRAC on the Off Road, and a Hood Scoop on the Sport.

thanks. I am not even sure what the locking rear axle and a-trac functions are? if I understand correctly, the hood scoop is non-functional

The Rear Locker is what it sounds like, you can lock the rear axle when in 4 Low in hairy situations and A-TRAC will use all 4 wheels to best advantage when in hairy situations too, you can Google or YouTube it to see and yeah the Sport Scoop is just decoration.

Probably been answered, but I went with the TRD Sport over a SR5 because of rowing gears. I couldn't get the SR5 DCSB in a MT - easy decision for me.

I agree the off-road is a better value based on the cost of the sport, but I also feel there are a lot of extra electronic bells and whistles on the off-road that I don't want to have to deal with.

The sport is setup to handle better on the road than the OR. I have watched lots upgrade the OR suspension almost as soon as they get the truck, so is it really better than the sport?

The sport is overpriced, but I love my 6 speed manual TRD sport.

There is also no Off Road Access Cab with a manual in US. Only reason I got a sport.

It certainly is, if you don't have to tow anything too heavy on a regular basis.

The hood scoop keeps the hood from vibrating apart on the highway.
