Why is it I can never buy a vehicle and not mod it ?
And not just mod it, but mod it so that it can handle absolutely anything . Even things I know I won't go looking for....but what if I stumble upon it? Then all that money pays off, right ?
Hmmmmmmm this may just be my first thread :).

Honestly...the old beater is making me a little nervous when I go camping into the back country, but what is the worse that can happen, extend my camping trip and miss a week of work? ;)

I have the exact same philosophy. What if I just forget what day it is and I stay longer.
Get a Satalite phone. It will be cheaper then a new Tacoma, but will make your wife feel better :). And when you want to extend ..." Gee honey, it broke again " .

I used to be into it, but ever I since I got into dirt bikes...don't really need to get too gnarly with the truck for offroad.

Now the focus is half way decent gas mileage, if/when I get a new...will keep stock to try and get 25 mpg hwy out of it. Keep the street tires and all, maybe have an extra set of wheels with some AT's to swap on when I go camping.

Lol and so it starts. When I bought this image.jpg I wanted a bed rack. I got this.image.jpgi told Ben at dissent offroad I was just going to leave it stock, except for a leveling kit. Then I did this.image.jpgand this image.jpg
Yep that's what started it again. Just ordered an Icon stage 5. An arb locker for front , gears 4:88 to handle the 33" tire's and I think method wheels. Just got the Arb fridge and slide, with transit bag. Dissent front bumper and smitty winch. Rock sliders and rear bumper. Various Rigid lights. A pro grill...because I like it.seat covers are needed as well as ......

We went nuts with the F250, the '71 Chevelle and the '85Runner. The '92 stayed stock other than wheels, tires and a camper shell. The '99...with that if something stock broke, I would decide if it needed upgraded, or just replace with OEM. Think I have redone the suspension 3-4 times on it to get right. It does have a ARB bumper, and popup camper. But I don't think the new truck is going to get a winch bumper, as I only use the one I have now for sitting my coffee cup and tools on.

Not sure if I'll do a popup camper on the new one, have been looking at the AT Habitat, or try and find a used Flip Pac...which would be an updated version of what I have now, problem with those things is once is everything set up, you can't use the the truck. Might just stick a RTT on my moto trailer like the one below. Be a hell of a lot cheaper and do the same thing.
