Anyone running cali raised amber cubes as a fog light replacement? Has anyone had an issue with water getting inside them? Thinking about going with them but generally don't like dealing with a company I can't call. ( can't find a phone number on the site).

Edit : they just pmd me a contact number. Now just let me know if anyone has any experience with the lights!

I've got the white led lights cube 3x2 on bottom for fogs. I like them they certainly put off a ton of light. All my LED's are @CaliRaisedLed and I love em. Great company to work with too they'll make anything right for the consumer. I almost have too many lights now cause of them!

    Great for the price!

I have the amber 3x2 led for my fog lights as well, they put out a good amount of light and work great in fog. A lot better than white, or stock. I had condensation in one of mine and pm'ed @CaliRaisedLed and they had me a replacement at my door within the week! other than that, all my other caliraised lights are in great shape

I run their amber pods for fogs and they work perfect. I especially like to splash in the mud puddles when I go camping and I've never had an issue with water getting inside them.

If I'm ordering the 3x2 18w amber pods and the fog replacements brackets + a switch will I need anything else? I'm wanting to be able to turn them on whenever I want. Is there a way to wire them into the factory switch along with an aftermarket one or is just one or the other?

    Hello,

If you order the package, you must add the OEM plugs. The plugs allow you to plug the lights straight to our lights then straight to your original oem fog light harness. So if you already have a button with your original fog switch then your all set. Let me know if you have questions.

Is there away to do that along with a seperate switch? I want to be able to have them on without my headlights.

I just hate having to have my headlights on to run my fog lights. Just trying to figure out if I buy the "ome plug kit" if that makes it function just like my factory light or if I can control them independently. If the answer to that is no I'm curious if I order just the lights, the fog mounts, and a switch if I will have everything to wire the lights the way I want them.

I would think you could do it the way I'm talking about with just an added switch.

Then you would need to buy an dual leg harness and run the new switch into the cab. The oem plugs just make it easier, but if you don't want them on that factor switch you would need to get our dual leg harness

Not positive there no wiring, but the mounts and lights would work. Just would need to run our dual leg harness to the Cab.

Gotcha. That helps. I would love the easiness of just hooking them into the oem slots but I just hate that I can't just turn just my fogs on. Ordering the 3x2 amber fogs, brackets, and the dual harness now.

I've run several of our dusty trails at night with these amber fogs alone and they work great:thumbsup:
