There's bears all over the place. But they're just black bears. Look at them funny and they'll get scared.

Sorry guys/gals.... I was NOT able to reach a real person to talk to in the totally dysfunctional Ministry of Natural Resources.... All I got was recordings and nil response to 2 e-mails this last week. Thanx to Kathleen Whynnnie.!

This Ministry that I worked for 27 yrs, has been reduced to a useless answering machine that will not help anyone.

SO, in MY experience, you guys should have NO problem camping on Crown land this or any long weekend, unless it's posted otherwise... That's the Key.... It MUST be posted under the Public Lands Act of Ontario...(Provincial approved signage, not cottager's or anyone else).!! If it is not... then you are good to go and camp on Crown land.

I fully believe you will have no issue... I've never heard of MNR banning camping on long weekends, anywhere.!!!

I'm still thinking of a drive up Saturday to meet some of you guys, if I can fit it into my schedule...

Hope you have a great wknd... Gonna be cool at nights... Be prepared..!

    John

Thanks John for doing all of that. There are already people up there from what @NorilskSever has been telling @Joe23 and me.

I'm going to try and head down there on the Saturday but it's not looking to good for me.

    Have fun everyone!
