Thanks. I haven't ridden in a few years now, don't know much about bikes, but get giddy at the thought of ridding again. Just don't want to make a bad purchase.

 

Don't buy Dorman. Rock Auto has great customer service and will warranty the Dorman crap when it fails, but it's not worth the frustration.

I think you should look for about another $1k off that bike. $3k is too high for a 16 year old bike in my opinion. Otherwise, what Noel said. With that sort of age, cable casings get hold and crack, same with wiring, hoses, seals, etc. Even though it's relatively low mileage, sitting with low mileage can be just as bad as high mileage, if not worse.

I'm saying an exhaust leak changes that ratio drastically, and it can be smelt when that is the case! I just fixed a big majority of my exhaust leak yesterday other than the pinholes in my muffler that need to be addressed

I know and I get it. I'm just talking about the STUPID loud bikes. Why is that overlooked? Loud pipes saves lives OK but they are obnoxious and the people that ride them wind them up like crazy and I just think they sound like shit

Happy "Friday" folks! Taking the day off tomorrow to stay home and watch the littlest one. Wife starts work tomorrow, in laws (who watch her) are going to see my brother in law law in WV for the weekend, and leave tomorrow.
