Looks like every VW wheel around my area! Stretched rubber on all 4 corners. Hahaha! Glad the blow-out was just that and not more serious at 80mph.

In for a very similar life path. Got my BS in Doc Filmmaking and Photojournalism from Brooks Institute and I'm now a UH60M Helicopter pilot. Excellent photography. My pops has been flying corporate jets for about 17,000 hours now. Currently flies a G450 for a private owner in his semi-retirement. I would get into it but....helicopters are just so much more fun.

My wife and I got married at the Mountain Theater, which is probably 700 yards as the crow flies from the trailhead parking spot. :)

    How is daddyhood treating you?

Basically have the same truck, color, off road. Everything.

What was the switch like after the icon and bigger tires? Was it worth it? Do you wish you would have went to a stage 3 or higher? How's the ride?

I would say the ride is a little rougher on pavement, but better and more callable off road. Basically what you would expect from changing the stock suspension. Stage 3 or higher would have been nice, but the price tag was pretty high and I couldn't justify it for the little amount that I actually drive on dirt. I spend far more time working than I do driving my truck.

I have to agree that helicopters are pretty fun. I have always wanted to learn how to fly them. Someday maybe.

They are like the motorcycles of the sky.

ha maybe. I have seen a few of those around now.

That's a beautiful area. Good choice of wedding venue for sure.

Daddyhood has been fun. First 10 weeks or so were a blur. But he is smiling and being an overall adorable human so I cannot complain. He is about 3 and half months now.

Blur is a good way to put it. Especially with the sleep deprivation. Don't worry, the sleep deprivation will continue. :bananadead:

It really changes when they start smiling at you and reacting to you and start eating solids. It just gets better and better. Before you know it he'll want to wrestle with you, and he'll be saying "Daddy no! Daddy, NO!" and then totaling your truck.
