i have a 2017 TRD off-road and sometimes notice a buzz in the brake pedal when stopping. Took it to the dealer and he said it was the brake booster I was feeling. True or False?

I hear it as well. Right when you push on the pedal, right? Not super loud but definitely noticeable?

That's exactly it. Almost like a cell phone vibrating under my foot

It has an electric booster, it feels different than the vacuum booster used for the last few decades. Its normal.

Thank you, that puts my mind at ease. I bought the truck last weekend, and was hoping I wasn't already having a issue with it.

    It's normal ish.

They replaced my entire assembly because it was doing it way too much and too harshly.

It shouldn't be invasive, shouldn't happen super frequently, and it shouldn't harsh.

Since the replacement it's barely noticeable.

I'd bring it to the dealership. If they say it's normal go test drive other trucks on their lot and see if yours is worse.

Edit:Cell phone vibrsing under my foot is exactly how I described it btw. Do us all a favor and bring it up on your new buyer survey they send you. Posterity will thank us. It's a garbage way to design brakes.no other vehicles on the planet do this "normally"

I plan on test driving another one this weekend. It's not harsh or anything but I noticed it. I also have a Mazda CX-5 that drives smooth as butter.

Other manufacturers use the same style brake booster for the same reasons. My 27 year old Range Rover does the same thing, it's nothing new or unusual.

Seems to be a few people dealing with this.
