    I did light investing a year or so ago when I still had the money to do it. Pretty much cashed everything out when I bought my house. I still have my 401k that my financial adviser manages. It's set pretty aggressive right now. The stock market scares me. If I were to do any heavy investing again, it would be real estate. Or, if I was smart, I would quit my job and flip houses. There's money to be made there. I'm just too lazy :)

    thats what I was thinking too, real estate seems to be a pretty safe investment.

    I have a buddy that hired a property management company to...well, manage his property.. lol. After paying them and making the mortgage payment, he still ends up making money every month. Do that on three or four houses and you have a decent income coming in, and you pretty much don't have to do anything once it's set up. Eventually I would like to rent out houses. Around here, with the military base, houses have no problem getting rented out. A lot safer than the stock market, IMO. And easier.
