New member, but I have been lurking for a while. Bought a 16' TRD Sport DCSB 2wd last July. I love my truck..I do not love the transmission.

I currently have a 17' TRD OR DCSB on order, oh and it's a manual 4x4.

The 16' never saw any mods, but the 17' will for sure. I already have new wheels and tires sitting in my garage, so that will be the first thing.

Here are some pics of the Sport in the meantime.

A Tacoma with a 5th wheel is funny to me. How does it pull the camper?

Nice! no didnt have any problems I guess, it was just a struggle. I could really tell it was back there. I would just recommend shifting yourself instead of just putting it in drive. I would also turn on ECT PWR. Gear down to help stop it also.

I'm sure my 33's and 3" lift didnt help matters either lol.

Haha yeah my 3in lift made the sales rep nervous when I showed him my truck and what I bought for a camper. But everything says I'll be good to go. More worries about trailer sway with the short wheel base and a 31 ft trailer.

Absolutely! Trailer sway will probably be an issue. I towed a full size F250 with a pretty heavy trailer so it was no where near 31' in length haha. I still encountered a little bit of trailer sway when 18 wheelers would pass on the interstate.

I pulled similar through the Rockies and back last summer. Once I figured out the proper setup, it was good. Stayed at speed limit most of the time, sometimes lower.

I'm hoping between the break assist and the trailer sway control that my truck supposedly has with the towing package and a load distribution hitch it won't be wicked bad. I don't plan in doing much highway or interstate driving anyway mostly back roads
