Anyone going to the balloon classic this weekend? Kind of sad I'll be missing it this year.

We got here in February. Had over a foot of packed ice at the curb and 4 inches of ice on the driveway. After clearing the ice from the driveway, it wasn't that bad. It did snow on us a couple of times. But not much.

When the moving truck was full it did rather well on the ice. Empty was a completely other story. It's amazing what 10,000 lbs does to improve traction on ice.

Our landlord shoveled or driveway at least once before we got there.

Sometimes neighbors can be so inconsiderate. At that house they where nice. Loaned me a snow shovel and an ice breaker to clear the ice and offered to help unpack the truck.

I should have said that people can be inconsiderate, was up on Boise ridge last night to watch the sunset. Drove down a trail to a little knoll. Some guy in a f-150 decided to park in the trail and block me in. After 30 minutes waiting and looking for them, I went off roading. Luckily The FJ has enough ground clearance to make over the rocks that were put ther to keep people on the trail.

Hope you guys get some nice neighbors.

Yeah, well I was pretty lit. Just didn't want to go off the trail. I also wanted to find em so they would be aware of the problem in the future. Unfortunately, I didn't have pen and paper. Otherwise I would have left them a note.

Make sure you're outside holding guns and letting the dogs run loose when new neighbors arrive. Also try to use choice redneck language, tone of voice, and volume. Should help them want to not be around for long.
Drive around them furst, then cut the valve stem off of the driver front tire. Tire goes flat, and if the jackass is semi prepared, has compressor, and quickly finds the cut stem, and might get the message. Only damage done is to the stem and not the tire, whi ch forces the douchebag to have the tire dismounted, then remounted which may result in a charge to them by tire place.
You could be a bigger asshole and carry a glass cutter with you, then cut the windows. Won't necessarily show right away, but come winter, the heat and cold will cause the cuts to break through and windows open up.
Remove lug nuts or just loosen lug nuts.
Break window(s). Slash tire(s). Remove drain plugs from differentials, transfer case, transmission, oil pan.
All depends on how vindictive you feel.

you forgot pouring a couple pounds of sugar in the fuel tank
Grease the wiper blades and door handles
Fill the exhaust pipe with spray foam
or smearing human excrement across the windshield
or just take a dump on the middle of the hood

Lots of options to keep new neighbors in line

Yeah, I forgot about some of those. Use deodorant on windshield wipers. That is designed to stay in place better.
On excrement, smear it on the door handles.
And that sugar may not go down the pipe to the gas tank, so pour some water down to help it.
Not everybody carries expanding foam with them for an off-road excursion.

I finally have a stalker... I've been waiting all my life for this too.

Let them know that blocking a driving path isn't right. Unless that thing can't move without risking damage, roll it at least half way off the path. Not that hard to put a vehicle in neutral and roll a little.

So anyone in here close to meridian/Boise that can help me out with my truck at times? Long story but no tools or garage anymore so I'm just looking at my options. I don't really know many good mechanics that won't rip you off around here and I can only work on so much in the parking lot of my townhome. Any recommendations also would be great. I recently left the old man of 22 years and starting over again with life, long story short.

I guess I should use this thread more often now. Ran out to red river/dixie area yesterday to check out the fishing. Ended up buzzing up the magruder corridor for a bit. Visited the green mountain lookout and let the pup get some sun.
