    There is a few spots around town that have meads. Been kind of leery of going and trying these because of the %.

    Ya they're usually pretty strong. They're like wine essentially. Very sweet as they tend to be brewed with a lot of honey.

    None yet.
    I hate to well actually, but mead is more like fermented honey water. Something semi-sweet would use 2.5# of honey per gallon of water. Off dry would be more like 2# per gallon. Anything more than 2.5# per gallon will be sweet. It's usually fermented with wine yeast. Sometimes people backsweeten with honey if it comes out too dry.
