IMG_3327.jpg Will a set of 2017 predator steps of a DCSB fit on a 2008 DCLB? Just trying to confirm before traveling to meet someone to buy some.

2008 Tacoma V6 PreRunner SR5 Extended Double Cab Desert Sand Mica
Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
I have those same Predator side steps on my 2008 Tacoma.

I installed them myself so yes I believe that they would easily fit.

Before you commit to buy just make sure and double check under your chasis frame and see the holes and compare the distance on how far apart they are compared to the Predator steps holes. You should be good.

It shouldn't matter DCSB to DCLB correct? Since it just involves the cab it appears. Also what's a fair price for these?

Well like I previously mentioned, just double check and make sure that the "holes for the screws" holding them match up.

Look at it this way, what do you have DCLB or DCSB?.....then see where are they coming off of....a DCLB or DCSB?

If both are the same then it really shouldn't be a problem right? But if different then "double check the holes" to see if the fit is correct.

As for price, well really that's up you alone to determine.

I paid $200 for my set, had to drive an hour to complete the deal though. The seller just wanted them gone from his garage.

Yeah I understand. I've got a 2008 DCLB and his 2017 DCSB TRD pro. He would be driving two hours to bring them to me but he is asking $400 firm.

Yea, I've seen them price as high as $700 for the pair all the way down to round $375.00

I luck'd out because this was a Craigslist deal, which the seller had them listed at first for $400 but the add was already going on for a month and when I called and inquired about them I asked him what would be the least that he would accept for them and he told me $300.

I offered him $200 because I would have to drive down an pick them up and explained that it would take me a little over an hour's drive time (and the gas $) plus the fact that I had to buy the hardware (bolts & washers, etc. for them as well, because the seller didn't have them. Why?). So he agreed that if I were to pick them up that very same day that he'd let me have them for $200 because he just wanted them gone and out of his garage.

Ask the seller what would be the least they would accept for them? All the seller will say is NO, but it never hurts to ask either way (yes even if the seller say's the price is firm).

Again, though it all depends on how bad you want them and what you are willing to pay?

Heck tell the seller that you would be willing to drive two hours and pick them up (save's the seller driving time and gas $) if he was willing to sell them for $200. That seems fair.

    No I do not.

Like previously mentioned, before I installed the side steps on my wife's 4Runner I just kind of researched on how installing side steps, etc and took it from there.
Plus the fact that the package they came in arrived with installation instructions as well. So when it came time to install those Predator side steps on my Tacoma, well I already knew what to expect.

One person can install them but I would recommend, for you, that you get at least one other person to help you out. That is to at least help you hold it in place while you are installing and setting in the bolts and washers, etc. it really just makes the install job much easier.

Like I previously mentioned I installed them myself on mine because I already knew what to expect when I had installed side steps on my wife's 2016 4Runner that I had ordered. Those came with all the hardware included also.

Make sure you use a high impact drill when installing along with bolts and washers that are strong and durable, that have strength to hold. Research the Predator steps and see what type/kind of bolts they recommend. Also look into maybe possibly torquing the bolts down? Lastly use a good high strength adhesive to apply to the bolts threads for extra durability (at least thats what I did).

Also when installing the bolts (make sure to apply adhesive to the bolt threads before actually installing each one) at first don't tighten them all down when first installing them. Just screw them in, with your hand, to the point where you still can move/slide the steps either forward or backward a bit. So as to align them up to your approval. Once satisfied, then slowly tighten each bolt down with impact drill or torque driver to the recommeded torque valve setting.

Believe me the job is pretty easy so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time, don't rush yourself and just take your time. You can do it.

    Good Luck!

    Types of adhesive's to consider:

They fit perfectly. The dealer said they wouldn't fit. They were wrong. What a surprise.
