Did a water bath to heat up some vacuum packed brisket I had and added it to raman with soft boiled eggs. Made the wife's with a miso stock, mine with a chicken based stock.

That was one of my friends drink back in the day. I could not STAND that stuff. I laughed one day when I walked into Walmart a couple months ago and saw the display of it. I took a picture and sent it to him, he was all kinds of happy. Might see if I can locate some for him when they come over for a BBQ this weekend lol.

Things would be quite different without the bridge, we're down to one ferry right now and thats causing some pretty good delays. Tourist season is almost done so things should get back to a slower pace

Looking good! There is a blue 22" Performer for sale up in these parts. Looks like it is in good shape, but he's asking $200 for it. Good deal, but I don't need to drop $200 for 22" of grill space in my current situation. If he's interested in $125 or something, then maybe.

    Still need a 26".

Wish I could help you out. I bought some cheapie at Lowe's, I think, that sits on one area, but it is nothing special and not worth trying to get the details to give you a solid recommendation.

Take a look on Amazon. I can't be much of a help but I did a quick search there and they seem to have a bunch. May need to use a couple to get the size you want though. I searched for Flame Resistant Grill Mat.

Thanks for searching, that's where I started yesterday but then I thought "hey, my buds in the smoking thread will have some recommendations".

I called weber today to try and upgrade the table for the blue kettle to the metal table. Weber wanted $65 = $7 shipping.
Couldn't justify it since I got the whole damn thing for $60.
So I wiped the bottom part of the hairline cracks with some heavy duty epoxy and called it a day.

yes still searching for a nice unicorn, I mean, 26"

Hmmm... good idea but would scratch the deck. That on a piece of cardboard maybe. Or I could just stop being a cheapass and get some highly rated thing on Mothership Amazon.
