And creepy, he had to have looked me up... he brought up my Criminal Justice degree, called me 'officer' and said I should stop being a 'web detective'.

All because I asked him why BAMF sliders were on his posting. :bananadead:

By the way, those speed bleeders worked amazingly. Was able to bleed out the brakes just fine by myself. Took about 45ish minutes and a bottle of brake fluid, but brakes work fine now.

Brand/size? I've considered them a lot but heard there were corrosion issues.

    Some really cool shit
Not now. But for 16 years I lived about 6 blocks up the hill from where 4 cops were shot in broad daylight, on McArthur. Could hear gunfire most nights. Got burglarized twice the first 6 months I lived there. In the first month a guy was pushed out of a car and murdered on my next door neighbors side lawn.

Moved up the hill on the other side of 580. Got burglarized in the first 6 months we lived in the new place. Scumbags commute, too.

im trying to get into the Kern County SD down in bakersfield. pretty exciting stuff goes on there all the time hahah. my dad has been a deputy down there forever, retiring next year and said the last thing i should be wanting to do is be a cop... fuck it. but after some advice from @VolcomTacoma i may just switch my degree to business administration and still go for SD/PD in the next 2 years

Thanks for info about manufacturers. Helped me get started on the research.

Thanks for the heads up! Definitely considering them!

Do people generally replace shocks and leaf springs at the same time?

Often times, yes, only cause most leaf packs are installed for lift, stock shocks won't suffice. Make sure if you get a lift leaf pack to pair it with an appropriate shock. Lost of threads here about what guys/gals are running.

    A few things
Get the slee offroad bracket and a ckma12 arb compressor. Mounts next to the radiator behind the passenger headlight. I think I may have showed you when you did the Tw express for me.
    Edit for bracket link...... http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/products_air.htm

Yours look pretty worn but if you dont want a whole new pack, springworks in santa rosa bent me a custom add a leaf awhile back for my 2nd gen that was inexpensive, and returned my factory pack to better shape. Resulted in a 5/8" lift because of the added leaf.

In my 1st gen experience, I advise avoiding the Wheeler's 5-pack. Overpriced, especially because it wore out quickly. I swapped in Dakars, and they were performing better in general, plus you have the flexibility to tune ride height be either removing a leaf or adding a leaf (the latter being an additional purchase AAL). Oh yeah, and Dakars were less expensive.
