If it gets too bad, maybe we'll finally talk them into moving out here.

They're leery of the snow, but we have bad winters maybe once every 10 years or so - if that. Some minor preps beforehand, a good 4-wheel drive (HEY - that's us on this board!), and a good snow-blower is all you need to get through those.

You can always tell who the long-time Colorado folks are before a bad snow storm hits, we're all hittin' the liquor stores while all the noobs are packed into Home Depot and Lowes fighting over snow shovels. :goingcrazy::facepalm:

So i had my ingrown toenail removed Wednesday morning. Right foot, big toe. Only a partial removal on the infected side (left side of big toe). I've been taking ibuprofen since. That Wednesday, I couldn't walk because of the pressured bandage on the toe and my steel toe boots weren't allowing any space.
Finally today, continued my ibuprofen dosage and i can finally walk on my right foot, but now its the calf muscle that feels tight. A shitty two days. Just thought I'd share this on the thread.

I love my steel (composite) toes. Most comfortable boots I've ever worn. Timberland Pro!

I swapped from timberland pros to Danner workman's. Best decision ever.

    http://www.danner.com/men/work/workman-6-brown.html

Danner are pretty expensive but so damn worth it. These particular boots are goretex lined. Save my feet working outdoors in Seattle.

I was a Redwing guy for 20 years, while I was a carpenter. I have a pair now that are waterproof, and they've held up pretty decent for 8 months or so.

I recently switched to Ariat H20 composite toe slip-ons. I haven't worn them to work a whole lot, I'm waiting for my redwings to wear out, but they are very comfortable wearing them working around the house so far. I'll have to see how they hold up.

Back in. 3 more nights and I get cut free. This 15 day stretch of 12's has been rough.

I was able to grab a few minutes this morning while having a beer to weigh the drift boat project.

I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised that the thing came in under 400 lbs.

The boat is balanced perfectly between the 2 chain falls. The scale is a Chinese cheapo, but weighed my fat ass fairly close. I'm ok with accuracy being off +- 10%.

Sorry about my mug in the background.

Kirk, that's pretty impressive. The boat weight, not the mug

I agree. I got some fabrication heads' that have been giving me grief telling me the thing is gonna be a heavy pig. I haven't posted the pics to those guys yet. No hurry...they have lives outside of work and don't camp out on their computers.
