So was my very concerned mother...but I didn't do all of that driving to be shuttle bitch the rest of the weekend, so yeah, I rode. Plus the Durango ride was for the iron horse race, and I wasn't going to pass up racing through a brewery and getting beer handups mid-ride!

Just put some fork mounts on top of the tonneau with a 1” aluminum bar underneath for stability. I’ve had 3 adult bikes on top through the WV mountains with no movement 89259CDA-DFC6-47AE-85E1-8809A3473404.jpg

Finally worked out berm turns this weekend! Learned the belly button headlight trick and works like a charm.

Mandatory bike pics on the way to my favorite Park City trail:

You get one of those keychain maglites, pop it in, and use it for night rides! :D

In all seriousness, you point your bellybutton where you want to go, and the bike follows. Exactly like skiing. I was getting my head around fine, but it's all in the torso action.

I still am struggling with this, I have to mentally think about it still. But man you can exit corners with so much more speed when you execute it properly.

Yeah, still something to actively think about for me, but you can no kidding feel the flow happening when you get it right!

After I got the tip from a friend on a shuttle lap, I went to the skills park in PC and just endlessly went down the flow track to burn it in.

Anyone got thoughts on Recon / North Shore Racks (vertical style) as opposed to the more traditional Thule/Yakima/Kuat style tray racks? Trying to wedge a bike let alone 2 into the back plus a cooler was a bit of a struggle, and tapped out my storage capacity:

I run a home made vertical rack kind of similar to the recon ones, it can hold 5 bikes if need be and can open/close the tailgate no problem. The only real downside to a vertical rack that I see is it can be a bit awkward to get bikes on to it if you are short.

I'm 6 foot even so thats not too much of an issue. That said, hoisting a ~40 lb fatbike up in the air routinely isn't my favorite idea.
