So for a while I have been wanting a nice 6in lift on my SR5 baby as well as some new tire and wheels. There's a local offroading mechanic shop and before I go there to have them install everything, want to have a better understanding in terms of what price to expect and what would be the best option, just so I don't get cheated. As a gullible female, I can get fucked pretty easily.

I plan on doing some offroading, not crazy shit of course, a few times a month with my fellow redneck buddies. I'm currently stationed in Washington, but I drive to Oregon often, which both locations are kinda damp. It's about a 4.5 hour trip and I average 60-65mph on the highway, I enjoy the drive. As for the offroading, it's muddy as fuck here, lots of trees, and creeks. I was thinking mud terrain can't go wrong there. I really like the reviews of the Maxxis Buckshot Mudder II MT-764 (LT275/65R/18). Only complaint I really have read is that they're loud, I don't give a shit about that though. Now wheels. I like the simplicity, but still brutal look, of the Vision Nemesis 111 wheels. 18x9 would that be too big for my tires?
Ok so 6 inch lift, sexy as fuck right? What kind would you recommend? I know "jack" shit about lifts. I want something that is good quality but won't break my bank.

    TL;DR:
*Maxxis Buckshot Mudder II MT-764 (LT275/65R/18)
*(Vision Nemesis 111 wheels. 18x9 Matte Black)
*6in lift, I dunno what kind. Wat do?

Is this stupid, or is this a good combination? I'm an inexperienced girl, idk wtf I'm doing. But I want it.

May be a silly question...but is the truck 4x4?

Only way to get 6" on a 4wd truck would be a drop bracket lift.

It is the 4x4. I won't go bigger than 6in but I can downgrade if I need to.

6" lifts are cool for mud. Not really giving any extra ground clearance (and because of that, they get a ton of hate here, but who cares. It's you're truck), increases your center of gravity, and be aware that it'll handle very differently. So if you're daily driving, take that into account. Companies that make them are Fabtech, Pro Comp, and BDS. Try to stay with a reputable brand. I'd suggest googling each one and trying to gather as much info as possible.

Those tires aren't that great as daily drivers either. Mud Terrains also do horrendous in the rain so please take that into account. I'll be trying one of Coopers mud tires, since I've heard they do fairly well in rain and snow also.

The wheels are completely up to you and what you like. Taste varies person to person. Just get what ya like as long as they fit.

Here's some likes I quickly pulled together that you may or may not wanna read. Up to you. ~~~

Also take into account that most if not all 6" lifts require cutting out a piece of the frame/crossmember so it'll be difficult to go back lower unless you know a good welder.

    And WELCOME to TacomaWorld!

There is so much great information on this site

I would spend some decent time researching

Took me nearly a full year to decide how to lift my truck

I'm terribly impatient. I had a Magnaflow installed the 3rd week I had my Taco.

I fucking love it. The people driving behind me, not so much lol. Here's the before and after video I took. It fails to pick up the sexy bassiness of it. https://youtu.be/GkpD2WzBavo

It's worth it though. It's increased my mileage by 3-4 mpg. And I got it for $600, orginally it was roughly $1,000.

Lifting a truck doesn't really allow you to run a bigger tire unless you lower the bumpstops to the point you don't have much suspension travel. The tire will still have to go somewhere as the suspension cycles which means that what you really need is a bigger wheel well. Getting some better shocks/coilovers and raising the front an inch or two will do a lot for you. A locking differential is a way better investment than a six inch drop bracket lift.
