We could meet up somewhere along 495( assuming that's the route you're taking (495- rt 3)

I haven’t looked at directions yet, but that’s generally how I get up to NH. So that should work out well.

I think I have a copy of your old truck, so get pumped up.

Partial to Southborough obviously cause that's where we go. Best advice I can give you is try a few places out and try to get a feel for the vibe at each one/ quality of coaching.

Some boxes in the are are super competitive and aren't really that accepting of kids, or all that social. I like ours (Pennant CrossFit) over another that's literally 2 minutes from our house because the community there is great. Lots of competitive people, but also a lot of families and a good mix from teen agers up through people in their 70s. Lots of social activities at the gym, and they love kids there. Plus the coaching is top notch compared to a lot of other boxes I've visited while traveling.

Firewall in Holliston is another awesome one. One of our former coaches opened it early this year and him and the other guy that own it are great.

Overall you want to look for places where the coaches are constantly moving around correcting/ helping people throughout the warm-up and workout. And that the community is a good fit for your lifestyle etc.. watch to see if coaches are correcting people on form even on stuff like rowing because I've found if they are being lax about shit that doesn't really have the potential to cause injury chances are they are probably lax about making sure people are doing things the right way in movements that while not inherently dangerous could be when done incorrectly. If they don't warm-up get out of there. And if the damn coach jumps in and starts doing the workout get out of there.

We do bring a friend day every other Thursday where the workouts are pretty accessable to everyone. No cost just drop in. Usually a lot of bodyweight stuff, rowing/ski erg/ assault bike, maybe some non technical movements with kettlebells/ dumbbells. Gives you a decent idea of what the atmosphere is and sort of what to expect.

You going RT 3 I assume? There's a DD right off route 3 on route 110 in Lowell pretty much right where 495/3 meet that could be a good place to meet up since it's right off the highway

I think I finally have the Yota Run route perfected...we shall see! Gonna get back out there one last time and see if my gpx files line up with reality correctly. Both the mod and hard runs are 40 to 50 miles each! I can't freeking wait until next Sat! It'll be nice to see all the preparation and scouting finally in action. My plan was to up the game a bit from last year. Hopefully I have done that for you guys. Anyhow, c u on the 9th for those of you who are signed up!
