Which do I get/keep?

Presently I have a 1997 Black SR5 with sunroof, locker and ABS ( factory) It has low miles and mechanically its in great shape. The truck has a lift on it which I do not like with huge blingy tires and wheels. I would want to return to stock or at least do a lift correctly which means $$$
The paint is poor.. its checked and would have to be redone
which means more $$$
So we are talking 600-800 for tires.. 250 for a nice set of OEM wheels
replace the front suspension figure 100 for a used set of Bilsteins and replace the rear leafs which are about 200 for a good set.

Then the cost for the paint...$$$$$ or $$ for a cheapy job

The other choice would be to sell this one and pick up ( no pun intended) a 1997 white one that has lower miles, excellent service record, stock all the way around, also an SR5 but no locker or ABS ( does have the sunroof) Same color interior, stock everything else and would need maybe a timing belt change. The miles are about 14K less than my current black one

The kicker is that i could sell my black one as it sits now for 750.00 more than the white one would cost me

What sayest thou?

Just for clarification.. I do not do any hardcore offroading nor do I live in a snow area. I actually like NOT having ABS and I really would have no use for the locker.. so those are not really any deal breakers..

 

I would sell your current truck and buy the white truck. Any pics of the current ride?

you already made your choice, u dont need the locker, the truck still works without it. get the white one.
