I see no use for a 2wd truck.

    V6 4x4 is where it's at for taco's

Up north i would completely agree with this statement, but i think it really depends on where youre located. For example, out west in cali most of the trucks are prerunners and they drive the hell out of them through the desert. Likewise down south where there arent icy winters you really dont need 4wd like you would up north. Not to mention all the pavement pounders that are daily drivers or fleet vehicles for companies. I see the need for both 2wd and 4wd, v6 and i4. Its all about what you use it for

Edited to add i have a 4wd but i dont need it, it was more of a id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it

I would pick the V6 but it's because I already have a 4 cyl 1993 Yota 4x4 22R-E and yes, it still hauls and tows just fine.

I've really been enjoying this taco. I had a super tricked out white 05' Prerunner in the past but got laughed at by friends in 4wd jeeps and such and called a mall crawler. lol. Id rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. But honestly my old 2wd with gears and locker got me through a lot but I knew my capabilities. This new taco got me out off a depreciating car and I should be able to catch back up on my loan now even with negative equity added onto the price I paid. I got he truck for 9k but like I said it was the rite deal for me due to my circumstances. I also have a boat about to be complete so I needed a truck that I could two a small skiff (1000 lbs) total to the ramp and not get stuck bc not all ramps by me aren't paved. My dd is a 03' vw Jetta wagon Tdi with 186k miles so ill make up for fuel costs by using that most of the time (50mph). It could tow my boat fine if it wasn't lowered. :). Thanks again everyone who helped me in my decision to get my first 4x4 truck. I'm really happy with it even with 176k miles.
