I'm not sure what type other than ceramic and it requires a rub down with clay at the start I think to prepare the surface. It's tedious.
Dealers and some others offer it but no one does it as well as Arkham here in Ct or the others nationwide that he teaches this process.
Check out Arkham. I'm sure he has an online site. Maybe there's a shop near you that does his process and uses his materials.
It really comes out nice and I'm sure it protects from chips and scratches at the car wash.

Getting them apart and removing all the old permaseal was a huge pain in the ass. Took me almost two days from start to finish.

I hear a lot of people say the OEM sound system "non JBL" sucks. I think it depends on the music source. For me, I use Amazon prime on my Galaxy S8+ but I also use a sound enhancing app ( Power Amp ) on my phone and it has a built in EQ, etc, that makes it pretty impressive. I have my system tweaked to provide the best possible sound and while it is nothing like the Mark Levinson sound system in my Lexus it is still pretty darn good throughout all the frequencies. Again, I am using an App to enhance the sound and really don't even know what the stock system sounds like without it. But the App was free so......

Now, if I was done all my mods and had nothing else to do or buy, the sound system would be one thing I'd change for sure. I like it loud but most importantly, and clean. I know for a fact you can get some really decent aftermarket sound systems for way less than any package a manufacturer charges for them in a vehicle.

    Just my .02

    Thanks!
I think I'm going to just go with the stock system. Add speakers etc. Whats the specific name of that app....I searched on the iPhone Power Amp and a bunch of apps came up.

Yea, that's a good description, "knee knocking bass" and is what I get from my Power Amp app too. Enough that with shorts on I feel like bugs are crawling on my legs and then I remember it is just the hairs moving from the bass LOL, sort of a catch 22 of living in the country, spiders inside vehicles......Again, still doesn't come close to the ML in my Lexus.

Also, a lot depends on Total Harmonic Distortion. If that number is larger the sound is not as clean. You want the lowest number possible. Not even sure what the stock audio system is. But if I were doing aftermarket, I would look at that number closely.

Ironically, I have stereo system sitting in a box in the garage.....Polk woofers, mids, 1k w amp, sony multi disc.......just no time to get into it.........been there for years. Maybe I can trade it with cash to upgrade some other things on the truck.......I also have a old Pioneer Elite home receiver. It's only 5.1 but when it was new it was very expensive.

    Here's what I have:

http://powerampapp.com/ Sorry, this is Android, but maybe they have a version for IOS. You can also buy the full, unlocked version on this site for 4 bucks, which I also did before the free trial was up when I initially installed it. A couple years ago.

Thanks! I got them both from the CH4x4 website. I did the custom switch creator on their site. I am running the 2stroke LED bulbs in my low beams.

I've had good results with the Superloud Essential Equalizer App with my IPhone, and it automatically takes over my ITunes music library. A few years back it was around ten bucks.
