^^^ that's odd, mine's quiet at all speeds. is it tight?

EDIT: i have so much shit on my roof rack (two bike racks, a surf board holder, and two lights), that mine may make noise and i just can hear it over the rack lol.

FINALLY!!! I managed to get the extra universal piece out and get my antenna hooked up right! I'm really not as slow as it seems; I got aggravated and stopped messing with it about a week ago. Yeah! Now, onto some bigger and better projects (once they get delivered!)

Mine might make noise, but not enough to hear over the radio (volume at about 35.)

Do you have any pictures? I've been thinking about a shorter antenna, and if ones from this company get the same reception, I'd like to get one of the billets. I'm not a fan of the thicker rubber ones.

Anyway, let me know if you have any pics. Thanks.

^^^^ That one is from a Scion TC.........

    Antenna X...

    1) I don't like how the bottom of the antenna is bigger than the base on the fender.....doesn't look right IMO, for my truck.

    2) I don't like the fact that it won't hit all the crossbeams in the parking garage at work or home. I personally like when it does that and makes people wonder WTF that was.

    3) I don't care for the bending that doesn't return vertical when not driving.

    4) My oem picks up local stations over 100 miles away...how much more do ya need?

    5) The Scion TC looks 1000% better (IMO) and will return to it's upright position when the vehicle stops but still won't scrape ceilings.

How about one of you that has swapped to this send me your oem for when the cement beams in the parking lot rubs down the tip of mine? lol

Does the Scion TC antenna just screw right on or do you have to do something to it to get it to work? Gotta link?

I don't have link but pretty sure it just screws on. One of my kids has a TC but never jacked with her antenna to know exactly. Even have one off my Mazda P5 that looks just like he TC one but it has an outsy threaded nub part and IIRC you need the insy part on the Taco.

I've been receiving PMs about my antenna... Hopefully this helps:

It is an OEM Scion tC antenna. No, it is not a direct fit.

The thread of the tc antenna is the right fit, but it is too short. You have to extend it using a bolt, nut, and some loctite.

Here are a couple how-to threads:

Me likey but will just stick with oem. Good stuff tho on the TC one. If I ever do mine it'll be the TC one..................I kinda like having the low ceiling warning before scraping the roof on stuff with the oem.
