Ended up sleeping through the alarm, so we were all rushing out the door today...tomorrow it is. Fail.

Just bought @rob1208's old high clearance brute force bumper with swingout. It's down at Billy's and he's going to be doing a new swing out on it for. I swear after this, just want to do my 2nd battery build, finish up a few things on the truck and then just enjoy it!!!!!!! Don't want to spend anymore money on it!!!!!!!!:anonymous:

    Thanks again @rob1208

IMG_3008.jpg Spotted yesterday next door to our warehouse in Martinez. Not sure I'll ever get used to the changes. Always wanted a 1st gen, but by the time I pulled the trigger it was 2014, and the 2nd gens looked good. Now this?

That bumper has seen a lot. From what I know and what Billy told me yesterday, that was the 3rd bumper he ever made which was for @sytfu510 (I think) which went to @theboy12 then me and now going to @thebaker. Its 10 years old but damn thing is still beefy and strong as hell. Billy looked like a proud dad looking at that thing after even gave it multiple hits with a BFH and a long prybar to get the stubborn swingarm off.

going to be busy in my garage this weekend prepping, priming, and bedlining these bad boys (Front hybrid bumper + rear hc with dual swing outs and a single jerry can holder)

He finally hired an employee who started this past Monday. That and he has had issues with his CMC and backorders of supplies in the last few months but should be getting caught up real quick. He's a real cool dude and spoke highly of you guys up here running some of his armor. Hopefully he comes up for a trip one of these days.

Ordered back in mid may, but I totally understand delays. Plus I wouldn't be able to get down to get it for a month or so anyways at the moment.

And I totally agree, after many conversations about the front bumper I got from him and discussions on bed rack and rear bumper ideas he's great to work with.

Thanks for the info! The OME Dakars (http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...Springs-with-Bushings-98-04-Tacoma_p_144.html) are tempting because they are a bit cheaper than the AllPros ( ). However, I have a question about the "lift" of each set. The stated lift on the Dakars is 2.25" and on the AllPros it is 3". Is the stock lift of the Prerunner at 2" or 3"? Would I lose lift if I went with the Dakars?

Also, the Bilstein 5100s state that they will not work unless the truck is lifted. If I get leaf springs to match the original stock lift of the Prerunner, will they work because the Prerunner is already lifted? Or will I need to lift more?

Still trying to figure all of this out. Any help or input is appreciated!

@t.hornstra http://www.arrl.org/what-to-bring-to-an-exam-session - I'd recommend signing up at the FCC website for a FRN to use instead of your SSN. Maybe bring a non-smartphone calculator, but you'll only need it for 1 or 2 questions, tops. And if you haven't already, go memorize the answers to the questions, cause they're all available online. ;)

Honestly, Technician is easy enough that w/ some common sense, you can ignore questions with specific numbers, guess at the rest, and probably pass. General requires a bit of memorization. If you fail, they should let you re-take the test for free as many times as you want in a session (at least, my test session did) so it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll walk out having passed Tech.

If you're doing just the test, I think it's just the fee and a California ID (I want to say your SS card too).

If doing the cram session then test, bring the aforementioned and a ton of caffeine!
