Looks like could have used an EVP. I'd have a couple of these if I lived anywhere near a flood zone

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=h-rteQSHaIM

A Bag You Can Put on Your Car to Protect it From Flood Damage
The EVP is the first product of its kind offering flood damage prevention for your vehicle. With protection from 24 to 36 inches of rising tide and floodwaters. It is designed to keep your car safe when the weather threatens your valuable property. It has been designed for ease of use and can be quickly set up in under 10 minutes with 2 people.

Do you really think a bag with a zipper is going to hold flood waters off for several days?

I would have Parked it at the bottom of the driveway. Just to be sure that shit got flooded. No gray area for insurance.

of course, the water could have receded already so probably more damage then we can see.. Still sad though. At least there is insurance.

OPs pic shows water at the top of the tailgate, which I'm pretty sure is quite a bit higher than 36 inches. Interesting concept tho.

No kidding, I seriously dont get people that fill their garage with so much shit that they can't park their vehicles inside. I've had my garage full before during a project, but I sure as hell would have moved things to get the cars inside before the storm.
