It blew ice cold all the way back on my drive from SFO to Richmond, but most days you barely even get the faintest feeling of cold air.

Also who was the armored up 2nd gen silver double cab at the international terminal earlier at around 11:30?

Not enough to have a build thread.
Well there's two things to consider. It might be a blend door that's not operating properly (binding in between hot and cold) or, I'm assuming you were freeway driving back from SFO. Two factors there - maybe you have an airflow issue across your condenser. Also, the higher your engine rpm is, the better your ac will work (since the compressor is spinning faster). If you have a low charge, you'll notice it less with freeway driving since your engine is cruising at an elevated rpm all the time and the compressor can make up for the lack of freon (to a point)

It was mostly freeway but it was blowing cold the moment I switched it on all the way to my driveway. My house is a good 10 minutes off the freeway too.

I'm now weighing the possibility of there being an issue with my multifunction nav/climate control. Thing has been malfunctioning since I got the car but it never gave me any big issues until I tried to reset my oil change reminder. But this could be unlikely.

Definitely a possibility. Sounds kind of like you have a blend door that's not operating properly

And since your HVAC module (that's what ford calls them, not sure about Toyota) controls those, a problem with that module could definitely manifest itself as blowing hot air instead of cold

I'll look into it. Should be one or the other. Luckily I've got a spare non-nav hvac unit sitting in the garage. I was saving it for when I get my audio project going but I guess I'll have to start that up early.
