Yes... and it's very much simplified from when we moved in. Whoever set it up initially was a moron. The one at the top going straight up is just a clean out though and ends in about 2-3" from the top of the photo.

 

Find out what is causing the back flow. I had this happen and it was a clogged filter in the Septic tank. I now have a reminder to clean it every 8 months

Yeah... I think tomorrow. We'll see. Gotta mow my lawn this morning, and then going to do my co-workers'. She bought a house and doesn't have anything yet, big yard, so I volunteered to do it for her and her husband. She keeps trying to pay me but I don't want it. Told her a beer each time is payment enough.

I know what caused it... I have toddlers who like to flush things down the toilet! I have city water and sewer so no septic system. There was a blockage under the slab. I tried to pull it back with one of those hand held roto rooter things and it didn't work. Couldn't push it with a plumbing snake so I resorted to the plumbing football and forced it through with pressured water.

You do know that it will reach a point where they will have to shit or get off the pot.
Either they will have to get set up to do it themselves ( a rarity in my location) or pay a landscaper.

I'm all for helping someone out,but it sounds like they're in no rush to take care of it themselves.
But..that's just me and that's how I read it in my old fart wealth of knowledge.

 

Indeed. Especially those with late 90s Grand Prixes. I'm still grumbling about that one.
