It takes me about 75 seconds to get to the river from my house. But...I drive 25 minutes to fish the creek more times than not :notsure:

It takes a while to get to a true wild stream for me, too. Hard to find wild fish here anymore. It gets so hot, those small streams get way too hot for trout to survive.

U guys should come on down sometime lol
The stream I caught him in is relatively high volume for a native trout stream so they get big. Plus some big (I've seen some close to 30" lol) wild browns and fingerling stocked browns that are indistinguishable from wild ones
Plus tons of other local opportunities for wild fish of all flavors

What is the general consensus or facts about how long it takes for a hook to rust off in a trouts mouth after it breaks your line ? Or , does it stay and get in the way of a healthy life ?
We were talking about this today and no one had an answer

I read the article and can understand a large lure getting shaken out , but a size 14-16 fly ? Not so shakeable ..... still a mystery , hope the fish I hooked last night does ok , it was a beauty !

Lots of streams around there. Went to school there, and had a camp outside of ridgeway.

Small wire hooks, I would think they don't last that long.
