The radiator cap is a functional device, the spring under the cap provides a very specific amount of pressure. When it is worn out it leaks. You have to be careful to buy the correct cap because of that and not just buy any old TRD cap because she looks purdy.

duuuude 212 is stupid hot for 75 mph, even in 100 degree weather. I was up in the Mojave a couple weeks ago 95 degree temps with a fully loaded truck with 3 people in it, bikes and gear for a week long trip and just barely tippped over 200 stopped in traffic on the highway on that pass before Lancaster...I wonder what the hell is causing yours to run so warm ?

My scan gauge doesn't have tranny temp so I'm not sure but I was concerned about mine on my last trip because the trans hump was really warm...and I have a ton of dynamat too so it seemed odd.

haha, thank you. I get the junkyard piece; dumb question.

I was thinking more about how rusted they would be, coming from a '63 year model truck. Is that not something to really be concerned with or do you just hunt down numerous ones and get the "least rusted" set?

At 71 degrees it's literally perfect. I'm almost doing 80 mph. Anything under 80 degrees out is fine. When we were going out of Vegas pulling hills it sucked though. Had to shut AC off. It was 111 degrees outside. I hit 228 degrees. @PcBuilder14 hit 215
