@ Red River Gorge, all the fresh air was overcome by the smell of burning clutch. It sure wasn't ALL yours, but it smelled like there were several clutches to be replaced in the near future.

    Use low range. Saves clutches.

    Wiring people :help:

I am about as dumb at electricity as they come. Throw me a bone here. Will be installing these. Want them to controlled by a lighted switch in the cab. Says they draw 1amp at 12volts.

    http://stores.advmonster.com/f11-fog-light-pair/

What size wire is sufficient? Do I need to use a relay? Fuse?

Draw me a diagram and I'll love you forever...

With an amp draw that low, you don't need a relay, you can just use the switch. I use 20A switches - that will be plenty, relay is overkill. As for wire, 18 or 16 will work fine... depending on your length, i would use the 16 over the 18 if the length is longer than say 6ft, but once again.... led's with stupid low amp draw, it'll be fine. Lastly, but most importantly: good ground. Good grounds are the key to success.

Edit: jeremy has good shit. Follow that. Don't really need a relay though.

The top half of the photo you took makes sense to me. Where I get lost is how do I tie that into my switch?
    Thanks Mike!

if you were to take the relay out of the above picture (and equation) the power (red line in the pic from the lights) would go direct to the "load" pin on the switch and the switch power/ground would stay the same.

someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Just remember, DC volts is always (theoretically) a 1 way path back to ground... just with several trail entrances that all lead back to camp.

    That wheeling reference o_O :D

What are you ordering? I need new ones now to replace my oem fog lights, as the new bumper comes with square cutouts. Thinking about Baja Design floods and then adding a 20" bar for spot.

A couple of us are doing the Dirt Devil tomorrow, Sunday. Not really wheeling per se, but I gotta get out somewhere.
