What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Got some new Depo lights to replace my faded oem headlights, so cut my old lights open to move the projectors. Also installed led bulbs...we will see if they last, but for now they are super bright! Also replaced my crappy Piaa's with some Baja Design Squadrons.

 

35k service. Typical stuff. Oil change, tire rotation, brake inspection, chassis bolts check, fluid check and a bottle of Techron.

 

Put her to work today. I think 6 loads earned some beer and football tonight.

 

Just got off a month out to sea. I just can't wait to see my truck later today after being stranded in San Diego for 2 days.

 

Finally got around to swapping the steering wheel controls to matching LEDs.

The truck came with the left side controls. I added the right side controls when I did the new headunit. The right side controls I ordered - correct PN - work but the lighting never matched. The color is more orange and matches the lighting on 4th gen T4R.

I ordered replacement LEDs months ago but have been hesitant to swap them over. I finally did it today. Piece of cake. No worse than the soldering I do at work.

I did the left side controls as well so everything would match. Im hoping they arent too bright at night.

I think Im gonna do the cluster next since it was so easy.

 

Just ordered my @Pelfreybilt Aluminum IFS skid with their Labor Day sale! Down the road I'll have to pick up the rest of the set...

 

Roger that. I actually went cheap and got a 30" LED light bar, just delivered yesterday. Nice bar, but I just didn't like the appearance of it on the truck, so I'm returning it (it also happened to be defective). I already ordered the KC Highlighters to replace it.

Edit: I went back to look at the picture. They look black.

 

Sorry man, they are clear lenses with black insides. Use factory bulbs

 

Replaced my D ring that fell off on a trail.

 

Didn't measure anything, and I chopped mine up. I think the measurements on the bushwacker site is total width of their flare without taking the stock flare into account. I'd guess it's only about an inch wider than stock.

 

So long prop rod! Installed a redline hood strut kit, I like it a lot.

 

Thanks. Yeah, I saw you had cut yours up, so I was hoping you had taken some measurements for the modifications you made.

 

Just paint them to your liking. Besides the fading is there something wrong with them?

 

Got to put this in! Love it, so much more room back there. Now just to get to organizing my tools and get more pouches. Added some sound material before it went in.

I did the same thing today! No pics, though. I believe the ride is a bit quieter. I also removed those worthless jump seats in my access cab.
