That is definitely the best looking rack out there. I hope to have mine installed within the next 2 to 3 days.

Has anyone attempted to hook a hammock up to their Prinsu as one of the supports? Either on one of the cross bars or the side pieces. Mine comes in soon and I just want to know the strength of it.

Apparently getting bare parts is a big issue?

I ordered on June 18th (payment went through the 21st) and have heard nothing unless I call. I've called multiple times and keep getting told its just a few more weeks, and now last time I called (around aug 18th) I was told that they accidentally ordered everything powdercoated (??? dont they make the parts themselves?) and since I want bare mine would ship out by August 31st at the latest. Sept 2 now and no havent heard anything still.

Yeah, it was like the day it sold over. But I was told one date, waited til 2 weeks after. Called. There was a delay (that's fine). Told new date. Waited. Called after that date, then told they only got powdercoaf parts and bare would ship out by the end of August. (Come and passed). It's getting rediculous. Just give a straight fucking answer.

Installed my rack today all by myself. All my buds were out of town and weren't available to help, so I got brave and used an oak tree limb to lift the rack above the truck and carefully lowered. I used half-inch kernmantle nylon rope over the limb and mil-spec paracord tied onto that and the rack. The paracord gave some stretch which was very helpful. Yeah, I'll admit it was a stupid idea, but I couldn't wait and took a chance! Seeing that rack hovering above my moon roof and windshield did make my sphincter pucker up somewhat, but it wasn't until I got the first couple bolts in that I felt comfortable again! It was easy from that point on. I was surprised that I had minimal wind noise up to 62mph. I'll try freeway speeds tomorrow. I'm super happy with it!

Yeah that was actually one of my fist picks. I'll probably pull the trigger on one. Thanks for the input!

I hang off mine when I'm washing the truck. As in, I grab ahold of it to wash the roof. Ive stood on the crossbars and the sides with 0 deflection. I would trust them to hold up a hammock all day long.

lol I see these posts for "fancy solo installs". I just kind of lifted mine up into the bed, walked up and lifted it onto the roof.. did I miss something? seemed to work ok for me without destroying anything.

You're fortunate you're young and strong and don't have a disability like this old fart. Count your blessings. Plus I have a factory tonneau cover.
