    Took him to the vet the other day. Poor guy got a low fever and ear infection.

    That's Kinney Reservoir, just north of Ebbetts Pass on Highway 4. It would be a great place to swim. The water is clear, the bottom drops off pretty quick, lots of rocks to jump off of. I didn't test the water, but I'm guessing it's pretty chilly.

    One thing I learned about river retrieving

    You got to throw the ball or toy way up stream and let it float down to the pups. Swimming up stream is a like a
    treadmill for dogs. Great exercise.
