    Same. I have no ac in my place and my room is upstairs. My wife and I bought a portable AC that we only turn on at night. Only way it's bearable.

    We had one at our condo but it wasn't worth the electricity bill even in that little box. Can't imagine how much it would cost to run one in our house. Thinking of getting one of the "whole house fans"

    Get the Costco one. Works really well. We close the doors and I actually stuff a towel under the door so no cold air escapes. Works pretty well. Only downside is it's somewhat loud but you get used to it.

    Bros, what helps me and it should save a little bit of money is to wet a dish towel with cold water, ring it out so it isn't dripping wet, and throw it over your back directly on your skin. Have a fan blowing in your direction definitely helps. Trust me, you SHOULD fall asleep pretty quickly and feel comfortably cool. The fan shouldn't take up as much juice as an AC unit?! Even just a small fan will do the trick!!! :thumbsup::fistbump:

    I've done this for YEARS!!! Definitely wouldn't hurt to give it a try???!!! Hope this helps?! :oops::thumbsup::fistbump:
