Finally fixed the leaky hub I've had since I got my truck running. Took it for a joy ride and saw my front bypass puked its oil out. Too hot for this bullshit

What if you've re done your oil pan gasket twice and you just took another look under the truck tonight and its leaking again...:(
First reseal, 3 hours cleaning the mating surfaces alone.
Second seal, 5 hours with a ton more tools, let it drip oil overnight to make sure I didn't have any on any surface, alcohol wipe down within literally seconds before I seated the pan with new seal to make sure there was nothing interfering with the seal.
    And now this.
I hate Toyota for using RTV instead of a gasket.

Any of you smart guys ever removed the headlight and turn signal switch and replace them with rockers? Have wire diagrams, forgot shit is negatively switched. The wires should read +12v with headlights or turn signals off, and 0 or close to it with the lights on, right? How would I hook up the wires to the switches.

I thought about using it the second time, but I just opted to use Toyota's seal kit again, guess that didn't work. I've got to much shit to do on it elsewhere, probably just gonna have it done by the stealership TBH.

Is it leaking from the same spot / random / or all around?

Random, first it was front and center, now it's left side rear, the first time I was conservative with the seal, the second time I used 3/4 of the tube which seemed to be just down the middle. I know they give you extra in the tube just incase but I used the right amount the second time. And it's worse of a leak now. Before it would just pool on the drain plug and drip (the drain plug isn't leaking, the seal is, I know for sure) Now this time it almost looks like it's sprayed out at some point because it's actually on the lower part towards the transmission.

I guess that's better than the same place twice. Is it Toyota fipg that they give you with the seal kit? Permatex makes some similar stuff that people seem to like.

I went to autozone and got a felpro gasket. Thin layer rtv both sides of gasket. Let it cure over night just finger tight and torque it down to Toyota specs.

    Yes
It's pretty simple, if you are not using the OE wires you just ground the input side of the switch so your switched source is ground. If you are using the OE wires just do the same connect the neg wire where you would usually connect the power. Only prob is that your rocker switch will not illuminate correctly but if you contact Blitzpro they will build you rockers that will illuminate properly using that OE neg switched set up.

Yep factory seal kit. I look into that, I know Honda bond is good but I didn't want to use it, thought I could stick with Toyota and do it right.
Felpro's just a simple universal gasket? I'll look at that. How do you guys torque down everybolt, I can torque down all but one, one interferes with the crossmemeber when I try to torque it properly. Also every diagram I look at shows in. lbs, not ft lbs... I did rough conversions and torqued it down properly, just asking.

Got to drool over the beast in person yeasterday and hop in for a quick blast through some whoops. If my truck ends up halfway between my mid travel setup and this thing when I'm done I will be very happy. Can't wait to get my dmz rear kit installed and be able to really put my front to the test. Thanks @dirt addiction for the ride
