I would just cut 3 or 4 big random holes in the fender and then pick the one that works the best. :sawzall:

The holes not used by the snorkle would help with heat escape and with ventilation. Its a win win

Right there with ya. I want to pull my throttle body and MAF to give them a good cleaning, but it is already almost 80* outside...I am ready for fall/winter! I'd much rather have to add layers to be able to work in the garage comfortably, but I can only take so many off! :anonymous:

Finally bit the bullet and got it taken care of with 110,194 miles on the clock!

    Throttle body before
    20170903_130616.jpg 20170903_130622.jpg
Throttle body after (took 20 minutes, a tooth brush, and almost a full can of TB cleaner to get it clean)
    20170903_132015.jpg 20170903_132020.jpg

    MAF before
    20170903_133433.jpg
MAF after, I cleaned the wire up inside the shaft as well, but that is impossible to get a good pic of.
    20170903_133920.jpg

Spent the last hour with our large 24" shop fun running full bore and got it done! Both were filthy. Pics above!

It was easy peasy! Took 10 minutes!

Looks like you had a good time! Glad it went well and everyone is back safe!

Mine is on the toolbox and nobody said a thing... What is that injustice?

    Awesome pic of the truck!
Do you think it is possible to clean the TB without removing it from the truck? I would do it but lazy to stop and buy a gasket lol did you reuse the old one?

That is part of the reason I put it off so long. Had to go to the dealership for coolant and they happened to have one in stock someone special ordered and never picked up.

I bought a new gasket but didn't use it. Just wanted to have it on hand just in case so the truck wasn't out of commission had I needed it. The old one was still in good shape. I don't know that you can get it completely clean without removing it. Not to mention I wouldn't want all of the TB cleaner going down the intake, let alone the all the junk I broke lose from it.

One of these days that's the goal!! For now this is how we fund these shenanigans.
Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun, just really wet out there.
I cleaned it with it still on the truck. Just held it open with a screwdriver, sprayed cleaner everywhere, and went to town. I'm sure it's not as clean as @08TRDOFFROAD but it's alright.
