Official 2017 NCAA Football thread

Our defense impressed the hell out of me. Outside of a few plays they were incredible. Our offensive line impressed me as well, we never really had a run game but I think they were way better than expected in pass protect. Alabama Secondary just played great.

 

I'm completely serious about it. Anything to keep JJ off the field.

We managed to scrape by NC State.....and we still suck.

On the other hand I see Gamecock fans on social media saying.....Going all the Way!!......Watch out Clemson!!

Speaking of injuries I've been wanting to see Fromm get a chance as I'm not sold on Eason. I've said during the offseason that Fromm could challenge Eason for the job and everyone said I was crazy.

I hate that he got his chance due to injury and hope Eason is ok but Fromm proved to me that he is what I've heard he was. Eason still has accuracy issues and seemed to have issues making decisions which I've heard Kirby say he had improved on. He did only play about half a quarter so may have been some nerves. But Fromm came in and looked comfortable.

And Ramsey is complete ass. I think he forgot if he was supposed to throw the ball to our guys or kick it to them and ultimately blew an opening day shutout.

Eason just had a sprain. Looked hyper extended a little maybe. Couldn't see it from where we were sitting, but the replays don't look awful. Kirby has a great way with words: "we think he could be back as soon as possible. We don't know when that is quite yet." Yea, no shit

Fromm looked pretty good. Was looking forward to him getting in the game, but not that way. Eason will still be the starter when he's healthy, IMO.

Offensive line looked a little better. Defense looked great. Chubb and Michele combined for about 180 yards. Good to see that.

And yes...Ramsey...what the hell. 0-2 with 2 INT and cost us the shut out.

Glad FSU lost, just because one of my best friends is a FSU fan, and I didn't want to hear about that for the next year. Bama's defense and special teams was spectacular as always. Looks like they might need to give Kiffin a call to come back and run the offense though. Shit.

LSU allowed less than 100 yards total offense?!? Hot damn.

 

I think our offense just needs a few more games to come together. Also, FSU's defense is legit. I'm not going to get too down on our O yet. We have Fresno State, CO State and Vandy the next three weeks. Plenty of time to work out the kinks.

Our field goal kickers are in mid-season form, though.

 

My terps suprised me with the 51-41 win over Texas. I guess the Texas hype being back isn't true.

 

I'll disagree on one point... That kicker is exactly Saban quality. We never have a good kicker. It's hard to believe given his ability to recruit top talent to every single other position.

 

Also... I think Bama beat Cam Newton in disguise last night...
