Yo dudebro.... How much you want for the roof weather strips? I may want to grab them as back ups, but we'll see. Also may need to get the coords for the above location. It's on my list but didn't want to go until fall, at which point I'll be hitting Lockett Meadow as well.

You can have the weather stripping for about free fifty. Im working Sat-Sun this week so ill just toss it in the truck and you can just come grab it if tou need it.

I think we're gonna shoot for November for that camp trip. Im strongly considering renting an overland trailer from Sierra Expeditions. I've become too soft and dont want to sleep on the ground...

Amazing Truck and amazing campsite. Such wonders do not exist here in TN. (well they do, but they don't have campsites at the top... they have parking lots and quarter operated binoculars) So sad.

But back to the truck... I really like the lift with the 265s. It looks right. Not like a little kid who's wearing daddy's tennis shoes.

Thank you! AZ definatley has many diverse and beautiful places! I havent been to Tennessee but the Smoky Mountains are definatley a destination goal in the next couple of years.

With the 4.88s Ive been thinking more about 255 85r16s but the truck is doing so well as is. If it aint broke dont fix it.

Did you re-gear anticipating to go with a bigger tire, or did you just want a little more grunt out of the ol' girl?

Thanks dude! So I came up with my own method to punch the weather strips and it all came out perfect! No mulligans needed!

Speaking of trailers, did you see the conqueror trailers at the expo? They keep popping up on my Instagram and God dayum they are bad ass!

Awesome thats good to hear! That rack looks good on your truck!
I did see the conqueror! Definatley one of my expo favorites for sure!

I was looking at this Aussie creation the other day:drool:

    http://bruderx.com

The suspension and indoor/outdoor kitchen were enough to sell me but I have a feeling this is one of those "if you have to ask how much $ ya cant afford it situations". Still fun to look at!!!

The regear was definitely for some more grunt and improved performance with the camper. Considering 4th, 5th and 6th gear are a 1:1, .58:1 and .69:1 my overall towing rpms should be lower at cruising speed since I should more easily be holding higher gears. Ive already noticed the scangauge reading lower trans temps and LOD is way down too telling me the new diff ratio is taking some stress off the engine and trans. If I do change tires it'll be 255 85r16 cooper st pros. A true 33" tire but they're skinnies so they'll keep the weight and rolling resistance down.

Getting ready to hit the road so new diff oil, engine oil/filter, greased everything and new cabin air filter.

Also found a huge mother fucking rats nest under the intake manifold!!! More to come on this. Im racking out and will investigate this mess tomorrow in the daylight.

I also did 3 towing heat cycles on the new 4.88 gears. Ill report on this later too but it was outstanding!!

I finally got around to the diff breather relocation. I ran a stainless steelcrank case breather filter to the tuffy box and mounted it next to the compressor.

Added a couple D-rings to secure extra generator fuel.
    20170903_183245.jpg
And installed some relentless quickfist mounts for my shovel and axe (hopefully murder spork arrives soon:fingerscrossed:). I was also able to secure the maxsa boards to the quickfist mounts. They're secure there but its just temporary until I can figure out some high speed stealth mounting for them

Mount them to the under side of the tonneau cover?

Its funny you say that. I was just playing around with that idea but here's a small problem. They'd have to be mounted to the panel closest to the cab so the generator and cooler would still fit back there with the cover closed. They will definately fit on that panel but they would have to be off center to the drivers side to clear the Co2 tank. No big deal except the mounting hardware that shows on top of the tonneau would be off center and cause extreme nausea everytime I look at it!!
That idea is definatley on the table but I would need to install dummy hardware as well so everything is symmetrical :anonymous:.......christ sakes lol

How is CO? Thoses pictures you've been posting look incredible!! Makes me wish I scheduled some time there for our trip. Maybe we'll just detour since Glacier NP is apparently on fire anyway.

Used some new toys to rotate the tires on the truck and trailer today. Speedmaster air jack and Harbor Freight earthquake XT ultra light, stubby 1/2 impact.

Using an airjack takes some practice but its definatley a good farm jack alternative if you don't have steel on every corner of your rig. Over all its ok for changing tires and would probably perform very well in sand/mud/ snow recovery situations. It fills up extremely fast with exhaust compared to the ARB ckma12 compressor however the compressor definatley has some more lifting umph. Co2 was the best of bolth worlds but it used too much volume for me to want to use it regularly.

Works great with the co2 setup and hardley used any gas on 6 tires. This will definately be living in the truck!

Yellowstone is an amazing and beautiful place but its like disney world meets the outdoors. Its good that all the natural wonders are protected but its damn near impossible to find solitude here. Tourists everywhere:turtleride:.

Funny, winter weather advisory. Just a day or two ago the temps were near 100 and everything was on fire. Have fun in Glacier. I live only about a hour north of where you are

Ya, it's been super warm. Us northerners are feeling the cold as well. Check out Mooses' bar/pizza in Kalispell, it's awesome
