Barnwell Trip was fun. I was surprised how few people were out there. I know some other parts of the state are going through some big challenges, plus the whole gas crisis must've kept people away. There was only a couple groups of Jeeps but had very little traffic on the trails. If I had to guess, attendance was maybe 150 vehicles at most. Weather was hot, but cooled off late at night. Thanks @NEWBIETACO for playing Trail Leader on Saturday. You took us down some trails I hadn't done before. Next time, I'll do Spider Ravine. Jake had to leave but we ran trails until 9:30 and I had a lot of fun. John won a Smittybilt shovel in the raffle. BBQ was decent although @Tristanmarco didn't care for the smoked bologna. Only a guy from Oklahoma would see brisket in front of him and ask for the bologna. :facepalm:Saturday was more about running trails and Sunday was picture day. However, I got just as many pics of my truck as I got of @Silverspool ...0 except the group.

I didn't get much video. Here's a little bit of a trail with @Tristanmarco ahead of me. Got mud on the camera so it's kinda crappy after 5 mins or so.

I half expected it to happen. It's just a cosmetic plastic cover that I ripped off. This was before I high centered, Thanks to @Tundra2Play for having a recovery strap on the ready and giving me a nice pull out. I was on the sliders and all 4 tires spinning.

I didn't get my camera pics uploaded yet, and got called into work today, so I'll see about getting em all uploaded later today! Should have some of @Suprajim54, @NEWBIETACO, @Egnaro as well. Sorry @Silverspool, didn't get any of yours unless it's from the campsite pics...

One thing i learned on this trip is that weight is a bitch!

Probably going with 4.88 gears now so that i can run 285s-315s and pull a trailer. I think that if i had 285s on my truck it would not have wanted to get up the mountain. @ztaragon had to put his 3rd gen on 285s in low at one point because his truck stopped moving with his foot on the floor!

Other than being loud on the highway, I have no complaints. During the trip I had them down at 18psi which rode very smooth, ask @Silverspool and @Tristanmarco about the ride. I never had any issues with traction but I also didnt push it too hard. The trail conditions were tacky so traction was optimal. The only time I did slide was during a very slow decent off a couple foot drop and the tires were caked so I slid sideways into a rut. I did notice they cleaned out really easily though. Overall I am happy with them. I want to go to Bridgeport and try them out on loose stuff now.

Let me know when you want to go! Im sure a few others will be willing to go also.

I think now i am in the market gears, after trying to get up that mountain with just the truck i know i need it. Just curious how mpg is going to play out on the long highway trips, up hills, headwinds, all that jazz with some 4.88s. I dont think i will be cruising at 85mph anymore...

I think there is something planned around the 7th or 8th of Oct. Im trying to find a nice high clearance rear bumper and only one I can find that I like is the Relentless one but it seems like the hitch would hang down. I want the hitch to be behind the license plate. It would be nice to keep the sonar too. I like how they incorporated the rear fender lines instead of straight across like Pelfrey
