Experimenting again. Found that if you put an LED strip in front of the top bumper weather molding, it makes a nice effect. But it looks bad when off.
I wonder if you could replace that weather strip with a clear version. It's hollow, so you could slide the LED strip inside. Hmm

Afterwards, I decided to repaint my battered grill logo. This time I used plastic paint and a clear coat. Getting tired of the plasti-dip tearing off all the time.

Don't know if they make these or not but a cob-style led strip would look rad there.

Edit: well hell, this could work.
    eBay light
Edit again: just bought a couple. I am my own worst enemy.

Quick question for you guys. I have a 2015 Tacoma 4DLB with only 30,000 Kms on it. I've noticed my AC has gotten progressively worse ever since I bought it. I have worked on these before and I can't find a leak anywhere plus the dealer says it's still blowing cold so doesn't seem to have an issue. Anyone else noticing this? My wife's new 2017 rav could freeze hell over as soon as you fire it up.

Cabin air filter ok? Possibly the air vent isn't switching to recirc. Just guesses, I hope you figure it out.

Is this the Rigid SR-M kit? How do you like the pre-built harness with On/Off/Reverse or did you make your own harness?

I have a pair of those but they aren't very flexible. Also mine produce a ton of heat and might melt the hood gasket. You really need an LED strip where the LEDs are on one side not in the middle. I have some new ones on the way, and will try those when they arrive.

Still trying to find a clear weather strip that would allow me to put the LEDs inside. I think that would work the best.

It just had a new air filter less than a month ago and that was one thing the dealer tried to say that they didn't install it. Like come on, they were just grasping at something to not have to fix it.

Ah, good to know! I plan on using them for mud lights to come on with the dome light to round out my exterior unlock lights. Maybe easier to find a sort of "frosted" weather strip to help diffuse the light as well as hide during the daytime?

Yup, I used the harness but just wired it to its own switch. It isn't hooked up to the reverse circuit at all, and what's nice is that wire is completely separate so I just left it out.

Your wife's Rav likely had an electronic fan, not a clutch driven one. Meaning it has the fan running full bore whether moving or not causing constant circulation through the condenser. The AC system in our trucks depends on the clutch driven fan so it doesn't have as much air moving through the condenser unless the vehicle is moving. Mine will freeze me out while I am cruising down the highway at 65 mph. But when stuck in stop and go with heat soak going on in the engine bay , my vent temps increase significantly and the system only worked mediocrely. Once I get moving again, it cools right back off.

My wife's Camry is the same as your Rav. We got stuck in dead stop traffic outside of Baker last year on the way to Disneyland. Temp outside read 117 on the dash, but it was blowing snow out vents for the 90 minutes we were stuck without moving more than a car length every few minutes.

The OEM battery died a quick and catastrophic death at 4 years, 1 month and about 3 days. Appears it had an internal short. No warning just died. I just serviced the battery about 6 months ago and it was all good, ran a load test (borrowed a digital tester), cleaned terminals, checked fluid level etc.
