OME 3" Lift?

Hey guy, so I had the sway a way 2.0 on order but I cancaled it because I really didn't want to spend that much money on just the front of my truck. Anyways here what I want to ask. What do ya'll think of the OME lift? Toytec has the 3" for $299 for a strut I want to run the billy 5100's at there lowest setting. Would this be a good setup? Im thinking about getting the OME, just gotta find the cash...heard its really good

 

OME is a good set up, a lot of people are running it and love it. If you are trying to get a 3" lift you are going to want to lift the rear a little unless you want the front end higher. I think you are a little confused though, or have me confused, but if you want to run the Billy's then you wont need the OME struts, just need the coils, which people have done.

thekidcatcher is running OME 885s and the 5100s and his truck rides really nicely.

 

Since I have an access cab will the 885s be too stiff?

Not sure. thekidcatcher is running an allpro bumper/winch, sliders, and skids which is why he needs the stiffer springs. I'm sure the 884s would suit you fine if you don't have all the extra weight.

I've got an OME 3" lift ordered. Should I do anything about the rear leaf TSB before then. My sticker says I have 0/0 weight reduction. Does that mean they tested it and it meets specs?

After the OME, I think they would deny me for the modification?

 

Don't worry about the TSB. I'f you did order the 3" OME lift then I would also recomend ordering the OME Dakar 3" leaf pack or else the front of your truck is going to be higher than the rear.

 

884s would need the top plate spacer to reach the full 3". 885s are slightly longer making the spacer unneeded. I am running the 884s with OME shocks all around and rear tsb. It sits level.

Negative. I do have them on the side though, just in case. Probably won't use them seeing as I am happy with this setup.

 

Nice. Sounds like a good route for me to go, as well. I just got the TSB done which put me about 3" higher in the rear. I figure after settling it'll be closer to 1.5-2" higher, making the 884's, at roughly 2" net lift, a great option. any alignment issues?
