Correct, from start to finish. Paying the stealership to install this would be asinine.

Thinking of modifying these guys to free up those 3-4 inches of clearance I'm losing as a result of the steps sitting so low. What do you guys think?

Wanted to cut the extensions, shorten them a bit, lift the step up and push it in medially.

I didn't mind paying the the dealerships body shop to change my grille out. Paid them $15.00 to detail my engine compartment while I was there. Different strokes for different folks.

Very nice. I guess I'm trying to utilize what I already have. Already spending a shit ton of money on upgrades. At any rate, I think it'll be a bit difficult, because I need to change the angle of the extensions , not to mention rotate the step a bit. The shape of the step and the extensions that surround the step are not symmetrical, so it'll be a bit of a project. I want it to be flush with the bottom of the bar so I can maximize the clearance.

If you want clearance, you are probably better to install proper sliders, that mount to the truck frame, and are made of steel. The Predator steps you have, are just bolted into the body, not the frame. The Predator steps are also made of aluminum, not steel. I have the Predators, for truck access, as I have no plans to offroad, where clearance and body protection are more of an issue. I also like the aluminum, as they won't rust, with all the salt used here in the winter.

Pretty easy overall, just time consuming. Start to finish was about 24 hours. It took 2 hours to get the lights apart and another 2 hours the get the Permaseal out. After that I painted them with Krylon Max Satin Black and resealed them with Retro Rubber from TRS. I'll do a full write up in my build.

Yes, You will need some spacers or washers. I used 6 nylon washers to get the perfect spacing in order to tighten the bolts down and not deform the flares:

Replace the TRD air filter for a AFE dry air filter. My truck can breathe now. I can feel the difference when accelerating. What I like about this air filter is juz wash with water and put it back in and ur done. No more air filter to buy.

So I got my 5" Lund Nerf Bars installed. Easy enough. Super quick/painless job.

(And yes, I tightened the bolts more. Just got in a hurry to take some pictures :) )

Realizing how red the inferno color looks when it is overcast outside. Love this color.
