    Day 3 with my Brother and enjoying every minute of it , Today we're headed East out into the vast wide open Mojave Desert to the I-40 . We're going to the Bagdad Cafe near Newberry Springs and maybe explore some of the old ghost town sites

    Yep. And more on the smoker being made right now.

    Once that is done will turn the smoker up to 225* and do some bacon burnt ends. With a maple sugar, onion, garlic rub. Then glaze with honey, brown sugar, and butter for a couple of hours. And a pan of no bake mac n cheese sitting under it to catch the fat that runs out. With chunks of bacon in it too of course.

    Damn now I'm hungry again. Guess I better go eat that salad.

    If you were even a little bit closer I'd make some for you Susan. Just not right to go through the day without bacon at least once in awhile.

    The baby heeler pup slept, then went out, looked around, looked around, peed, we sat on the porch for a bit, came in, and now its eating and drinking again. Its getting a little feisty. It follows me around real well.. Will be good I think. Hoping this helps with off leash training.
